Two New Features Land On Instagram, Make It Easy For Users When Making Live Events
JAKARTA - Starting 2022, Instagram boss Adam Mosseri has just announced a new feature on his social media. This new feature focuses more on users when they do live broadcasts or Live.
Now if a user is Live, then on their profile a badge will be displayed to taboo their followers or others that they are having a Live session.
Once the badge appears, their followers can subscribe to be automatically notified when a live session resumes the next day.
By posting a video on his Twitter, Mosseri explained that Instagram users can create as many scheduled Live sessions as they want. If there is more than one Live the following day, then the session will be shown as a list on the side of the screen while the Live is in progress.
This new ability is different from the previous one. Whereas in the past users who wanted to go Live had to inform their followers about the event via Feed or Story uploads, with this new feature now, Instagram is rolling out a special way for users to notify others about scheduled Lives.
Badges will not only be visible to their followers, but also to anyone who might find their profile, which can attract more viewers.
Cited from TechCrunch, Thursday, January 27, it is known, Instagram's Live feature has become an important part of the app, especially for content creators on the platform who use this tool as a way to engage directly with their followers.
The company has refined the feature to take on competitors like Clubhouse, Facebook, and TikTok. Instagram has added some functionality to the Live feature, such as the option to mute and mute videos and the ability to broadcast with up to four creators.
While this is a minor change, Instagram's new profile badge for Scheduled Live can help content creators gain additional exposure and reach more users in the app.
Still, with the same video, Mosseri also explained that users can now remix any video content in the app, a change that Instagram announced a few days ago.

The Meta-owned social media officially launched Remix, which is a version of TikTok Duets, in March 2021. This feature allows users to record their Reels videos alongside videos from other users.
The reason is that until now users can only remix Reels with a short duration. Now, users can remix any public video in the app. But this only applies to new publicly published videos, as the feature won't work on older content.
In addition to these new features, Instagram also recently launched an early test of creator content subscriptions in the United States (US). Certain content creators can now offer their followers paid access to Live, and exclusive stories.
Content Creators can set their own prices to access their exclusive content. Paid subscribers will be marked with a special badge, which distinguishes them from non-paid users in the comments section.
For your information, Instagram is not the only social media platform eager to experiment with subscriptions, as TikTok has also confirmed that it is testing support for paid subscriptions.
