Overflowing River Submerges Residents' Houses Due To Delivery Floods, Mayor Gibran Promises To Find Solutions
SOLO - The Solo City Government, Central Java, will immediately find a solution for the settlements of residents living along the river that has the potential to overflow due to flooding from other areas.
"We will find a solution later because there are a lot of flood shipments from Boyolali. We will find a solution later", said Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka in Solo, Antara, Monday, January 24.
Gibran said several flood-prone points in the city of Solo include the Kali Jenes and Premulung areas. His party has also discussed this matter with the other party

Flood management is currently the focus of the Solo City Government, especially for the next two months, it is estimated that high rainfall is expected. "We have mapped flood-prone points along (River, ed.) Jenes, Premulung. The areas include Sondakan, Laweyan, Bumi, Typhoid. So far, we are focusing on these areas", he said.
Regarding the collapsed house on the edge of Jenes River, he said, the Surakarta City Government has handled it. "We have visited the one who collapsed, we have evacuated to his brother's house. We will help later, don't worry", he said.
Apart from the houses that collapsed last Sunday, on Friday, January 21, hundreds of residents of Laweyan District had evacuated because their houses were flooded due to the overflow of Jenes River.

Head of the Surakarta City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPB), Nico Agus Putranto, said residents' houses were flooded in several locations. "The point is that Jenes River has passed", he said.
