Facing Shifting Trends, These Are The Two Main Focuses Of Gojek's Business In 2022

JAKARTA - Entering 2022, also coincides with the changing trend of community mobility needs along with the recovery of activity. Ride-sharing service, Gojek claimed to have prepared many innovations this year.

"Currently, Gojek sees that the pandemic has raised public expectations for the highest standards of safety and hygiene in transportation modes, the presence of integrated urban transportation, and more environmentally-friendly mobility options", said Gojek's Head of Global Transport Marketing, Amanda Parikesit, in her statement on Tuesday, January 18th.

Amanda stated that to answer this trend, Gojek has two main focuses this year. The first includes service reliability, where Gojek will expand its shuttle service by prioritizing health protocols.

In addition, there is also additional protection for passengers in the form of travel insurance. "This protection is a complement to the basic travel insurance available for all Gojek transportation services", said Amanda.

To improve the safety and comfort of passengers, Gojek has prepared training modules for driver-partners which include service excellence, driving safety, to the prevention of sexual violence which has been attended by hundreds of thousands of active driver-partners.

"We want to make sure not only drivers but also consumers can enjoy the highest service from us. We will also provide our drivers with uniforms for identity, identification cards as well, and are also more adaptive and attentive to consumer needs", said Amanda.

Finally, Amanda also stated that Gojek also provides public transportation solutions that are integrated with Gojek services and the presence of electric vehicles whose operations will continue to be expanded to achieve zero carbon in 2030.

"(The two focuses) innovations and initiatives that we present are a form of our responsiveness and adaptation to the dynamic needs of public transportation, especially in the midst of a pandemic", said Amanda.
