Stressed About Refusal To Marry, Ketupat Sayur Seller In Pademangan Dies After Plunging Into A Well
JAKARTA - Udi (20), a Ketupat Sayur vendor, was found dead in the well of his rented house in Pademangan, North Jakarta.
The victim is suspected of being desperate to end his life by committing suicide by throwing himself into a well.
The head of the Pademangan Police, Kompol Happy Saputra, said the victim was thought to have died from suicide.
"It is suspected that the victim's suicide was caused by a heavy burden of thought because the victim's parents refused to marry. Because there was no cost to marry the victim", said Kompol Happy to reporters, Wednesday, January 12.
However, police officers are still investigating the cause of Udi's death in the well.

The victim's body was first discovered by the victim's neighbors when they were about to fetch water from the well. The neighbors, he continued, saw Udi was already floating in the well when he threw the bucket.
However, there were no signs of violence on the victim's body. However, the cause of death is still under investigation by the Pademangan Police. Meanwhile, the victim's body has been taken to the Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta for a post-mortem.
