Survey Of Indicators: Electability Of Political Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto Outperforms Megawati Despite Losing To Prabowo And AHY
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Political Indicators Survey released a survey on the electability of presidential candidates from the general chairman of political parties. The survey results put Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto at the top with 52.5 percent. Interestingly, in this survey, which was held on December 6-11, 2021, the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, outperformed PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.
Airlangga is the third-highest candidate for president who comes from the general chairman of a political party. "In third place, Golkar General Chair Airlangga Hartarto with 6.0 percent, and the fourth PDIP chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri with 3.7 percent," said Executive Director of Indonesian Political Indicators Burhanuddin Muhtadi, Sunday, January 9.
The chairman of the political party with the second-highest electability belongs to the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY).
Meanwhile, under Megawati, there are Perindo Chairperson Hary Tanoesoedibjo (2.7 percent), Nasdem Party Chairperson Surya Paloh (1.7 percent), and PKB Chairperson Muhaimin Iskandar (1.1 percent).

The order of these names is based on the questions in the simulation of 18 names of party chairmen. Indonesian Political Indicators also made a simulation with the names of 9 party leaders.
The result is not much different from the simulation of 18 party leaders. In first place remains Prabowo Subianto with 54.4 percent, followed by AHY with 11.8 percent. General Chairman of Golkar Airlangga is also still in third place with 6.8 percent, ahead of Megawati who won 4.6 percent.
The Indonesian Political Indicator Survey uses a multistage random sampling method. The total sample is 2,020 respondents with a base sample of 1,220 people spread proportionally in 34 provinces.
From the base sample, 1,220 respondents have a margin of error of about 2.9 percent at a 95 percent confidence level. Respondents were conducted by face-to-face interviews.
