Ardhito Pramono's Story For A Role In Dear Nathan: Thank You Salma, Thanks To Jefri Nichol

JAKARTA - The film Dear Nathan: Thank You Salma presents a number of new characters, one of which is Afkar, played by Ardhito Pramono.

This film is his latest work in a widescreen format, so Ardhito is very enthusiastic to play his role. The process itself according to the musician is quite interesting.

"Nichol DM me, he said 'do you want to join, do you have a role in Dear Nathan', I just don't mind," said Ardhito Pramono at a press conference in South Jakarta on Thursday, January 6, 2022.

Ardhito agreed to the request because he was interested in acting. In addition, he also felt that during the pandemic, he felt that film could be an artistic medium.

"I'm really happy to be involved here because during this pandemic, films have become another way for me to work apart from making music," said Ardhito.

“So at that time, Mr. Sunil asked for help, 'Jef please find out who is suitable for Afkar's character'. I don't know why when I found out that Afkar's character was mysterious and very indie, I immediately thought of Ardhito," added Jefri Nichol.

Sunil Samtani as the producer also admitted that four people in his office had mentioned Ardhito's name. "I immediately suggested it to Mr. Sunil and he said 'oh yes, four people in the office also suggested that name'," he said again.

Ardhito Pramono plays Afkar, the head of the Bumi Syair organization close to Salma (Amanda Rawles).

"Afkar's character is close to me. Just in college. Very close. For the character of musicians, poets. The challenge itself is for Ardhito to be a differentiator. All out for Afkar," said Ardhito.

In addition to acting, Ardhito also fills the main soundtrack, entitled Teman Perjalanan. Ardhito Pramono's role as Afkar can be seen through Dear Nathan: Thank You Salma, which airs from January 13, 2022.
