News Emerges That The Governor Of Banten, Wahidin Halim, Withdraws Reports Ahead Of The Demonstration Of Thousands Of Workers And Students At KP3B

JAKARTA - Investigators of the Banten Police General Criminal Investigation Directorate appreciate the peace agreement between Banten Governor Wahidin Halim (WH) and several workers who have been named suspects for the incident of breaking into the Governor's room some time ago at the Banten Provincial Government Headquarters (KP3B).

Based on the information received by VOI on Tuesday, January 4, investigators received information about the existence of a peace agreement between the reported and the complainant in LP No. 496 on 24 December 2021.

The existence of this peace agreement becomes a reference for investigators in carrying out restorative justice in the investigation of LP No. 496 on December 24, 2021.

"Investigators will pro-actively communicate with lawyer Asep Busro to request original documents as formal completions in stopping the investigation of the case." so the written statement was received via text message, Tuesday, January 4th.

Previously, Banten Governor Wahidin Halim reported several workers who broke down the door of his office on Wednesday, December 22. Shortly after the report came in, the Banten Police arrested six workers and made them suspects.

The determination of the suspect status of several workers made the President of the Confederation of All-Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPSI) Andi Gani Nuna Wea and President of the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI) Said Iqbal request the suspension of two of its members, OS (28) and MHF (25). The request was finally granted by the Banten Police.

However, KSPI President Said Iqbal also appealed to Banten Governor Wahidin Halim to end this case.

According to Said Iqbal, the problem is not criminalization, but a dialogue problem regarding the discussion of the minimum wage demanded by workers to offset the inflation that occurs.

"For this reason, we hope that the Governor of Banten will have a dialogue and discussion with the labor alliance," said Said Iqbal.

Furthermore, the release regarding the peace between Governor Wahidin Halim and the workers who were made suspects came out after the news that thousands of workers and students would hold a demonstration at KP3B tomorrow, Wednesday, January 5.
