BATURAJA - The arrears of Local water company (PDAM) Tirta Raja customers, Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency, South Sumatra in 2021 reached IDR 5 billion. There were 5.519 customers who were in arrears in paying their clean water bills for 2-3 months.

"The arrears are high. Therefore, starting next year, we will control those customers who are in arrears," said OKU PDAM President Director, Abi Kusno in Baturaja, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, December 29.

According to him, based on data, the largest arrears are in Baturaja City, reaching more than 4.000 customers with a value of IDR 4 billion.

Then followed by Lubuk Batang Sub-district with 199 customers in arrears (IDR 300 million) and Lubuk Raja Sub-district with 507 customers (over IDR 200 million).

"We don't want these arrears to continue to grow so that next year we will control customers who are in arrears for three months," he said.

In controlling later, his party will involve relevant agencies and local police officers to assist the process of disconnecting the clean water network for customers who are in arrears for more than three months.

Therefore, Abi appealed to PDAM Tirta Raja OKU customers who feel they have been in arrears for three months or more to immediately pay off the arrears.

"Payments can be made directly to the PDAM Tirta Raja office or through our partners such as the Post Office, Pay Post Agent, Indomaret, Alfamart, or through Bank Sumsel Babel," he said.
