SAR Team Finds Bodies Of Ternate Residents Who Killed By Crocodile
TERNATE - The joint SAR team of the Ternate Basarnas and the community found a resident from Gorup Village, Makian Island District, South Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province who had been reported missing due to being attacked by a crocodile in the river Bale Village, Oba, Tidore Islands City.
Head of the Ternate Basarnas (National Search and Rescue Agency), Muhamad Arafah, in Ternate on Sunday said the joint SAR team sent to the scene of the incident (LKP) arrived in Bale Village at 10.45 WIT and immediately coordinated with the local village apparatus.
He explained that the SAR team received information that at 10:00 WIT the local community managed to find a victim named Koda Ismail (46) who was dead and was immediately taken to a relative's house in Bale Village.
Furthermore, the SAR team and their families took the victim to the residence in Gorup Village, Makian Island by using the RIB 02 Ternate ship and a speed boat unit. After arriving at the village of Gorup Pulau Makian, and immediately handing over the victim to the family.
Previously, the Ternate Basarnas SAR Office sent personnel to search for a resident of Oba Village who was attacked by a crocodile while going to the river.

According to him, based on eyewitness reports, the victim was attacked by a crocodile and from the information submitted, and then the team was dispatched at 8.50 WIT, the SAR team moved from Ternate to Gita Village using RIB 02 Ternate.
After arriving at Gita Village, the team moved to Bale Village by land with a distance of 11.3 km. According to information from eyewitnesses, on Friday, December 3, the victim of Koda Ismail and his wife went to the garden at around 17.00 WIT.
The victim went to the river to fetch water and at that moment his wife saw a crocodile pounced on the victim and was eventually found dead, said Muhammad Arafah.
