Indonesia Vs Myanmar Tonight, Fachruddin Hopes The Garuda Squad Shows Improved Performance

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team will undergo the second test match in Turkey against Myanmar at the Antalaya Sport Complex tonight. The Garuda defender Fachruddin hopes that Indonesia can show improved performance after losing to Afghanistan.

Ahead of the match, Fachruddin said that he and his teammates would work hard to make Shin Tae-yong's wish come true. The South Korean coach has galvanized the Garuda squad to improve their physical abilities.

"After the Afghanistan match, we have adapted to the weather and trained as well. There is a physical improvement, hopefully, it can come out in tomorrow's match (today, red) against Myanmar," said Fachrudin quoted from the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) page, Thursday.

"We are ready, after physical improvement there will be tactical training. Hopefully what coach Shin wants can come out in the match against Myanmar," he added.

Before facing Myanmar, the national team had time to try out the ability to counter Afghanistan. Unfortunately, in the first trial, the Garuda squad lost 0-1.

After the defeat to Afghanistan, Shin Tae-yong immediately did an evaluation and said that communication and passing were the team's weaknesses. With the remaining time, the coach immediately fixes the team.

“The coach prepared yesterday, we practiced a lot of passing. Coach Shin always emphasizes passing and communication. Hopefully, the match against Myanmar has reduced a lot (the problem)," hoped Fachruddin.

The trial match that is being carried out by the national team is preparation for the 2020 AFF Cup. The prestigious Southeast Asian tournament will take place on December 5.

For that reason, Fachruddin clearly hopes to reap the maximum results from the counter trial. Because it will really help them appear more confident at AFF 2020.

"What is certain is to win (the target), because that is also our capital to the AFF for our confidence. This is also to be an added value on FIFA match day," he said.
