The Indonesian Football Association Makes Sure 30 Players Are Brought To The AFF To Strengthen The Indonesian National Team
JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team will definitely appear in the 2020 AFF Cup in early December. Ahead of the prestigious football event in Southeast Asia, The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has confirmed that 30 players will be brought to Singapore to strengthen the team.
This was conveyed by the General Chairperson (Ketum) of the PSSI, Mochamad Iriawan. According to him, the national team only needs to add four more players to the squad that is undergoing TC (training camp) in Turkey.
"The total is 30, which means that four more players will be called up," said Mochamad Iriawan, quoted from the PSSI's official website, Thursday, November 25.
On the way to Turkey, only 26 players were brought in by coach Shin Tae-yong. Of the 26 players, Syahrian Abhimanyu failed to answer the call so only 25 people attended. That number includes two players with international careers, Elkan Baggott and Egy Maulana Vikri.
Regarding the summoning of four other names to fulfill the number of 30 players, Iriawan explained that the PSSI as a federation had also communicated with PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) as the operator of Liga 1.
"Yesterday, the results of the meeting with the LIB, later in time there will be additions from clubs, which Shin Tae-yong really wants," said Iriawan.

Communication is an important thing in calling the rest of the players to strengthen the national team in the 2020 AFF Cup later. The reason is, along with the training camp and trials carried out by the national team, the League 1 competition is also currently rolling in the country.
This makes the club must have great consideration to allow their players to be brought by Shin Tae-yong to the national team.
The 2020 AFF Cup itself will roll from December 5 in Singapore. Indonesia is in Group B along with Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Malaysia.
