Police Find Cannabis Plants In Masurai Valley Merangin Jambi
JAMBI - Members of the Merangin Police Narcotics Unit found dozens of cannabis plants in the hills of Masurai Valley, Jangkat District, Merangin Regency, Jambi.
Merangin Police Chief, AKBP Irwan Andy Purnamawan, said regarding the disclosure of marijuana plants in the Masurai Valley, the police arrested 2 people.
The two perpetrators, Abdul Razak (23) and Pipen (23) were arrested when they were about to make a sale and purchase transaction for marijuana types in front of the gate of SD N 300, Lembah Masurai District, Merangin Regency, Tuesday, November 16.
The two perpetrators were arrested while transacting a pack of marijuana in the seat of a Pipen motorbike purchased from Abdul Razak.
"The perpetrator with the initials Pipen bought marijuana from Abdul Razak for 250 thousand rupiahs", said AKBP Irwan as quoted by Antara, Thursday, November 18.
When interrogated, said Irwan, the perpetrator admitted to getting the illicit goods from one of the farmers who owns a marijuana field in Masurai Valley District.
After receiving this information, the police moved quickly to the residences of Angga Zulkarnain (21) and Agung Ramizar (22) in Sungai Tebal Hamlet, Tuo Village, Lembah Masurai District, Merangin Regency.

When arrested, the two perpetrators did not move. From inside the house, a box of cigarettes containing marijuana, a package of methamphetamine, and one marijuana stem were also taken from Angga's garden.
"At around 23.00 WIB, the team immediately processed the crime scene (TKP) and also examined the suspect through interrogation.
The perpetrator admitted that the marijuana narcotic plant was still in the perpetrator's garden.
The Merangin Police Narcotics Satres team and the Masurai Valley Police Sector along with the two perpetrators then went to Angga's garden, which is suspected of growing cannabis plants.
"When we arrived at the garden, we managed to find dozens of marijuana sticks and immediately took them to the Merangin Police with the perpetrators", said AKBP Irwan.
The perpetrators were charged with Article 114 paragraph (1), Article 111 paragraph (1) Article 112 (1) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a threat of 20 years in prison.
