Marthino Lio And Reza Rahadian Find It Difficult To Move On From Being Vengeance Is Mine, All Others Pay Cash

JAKARTA - Actor Marthino Lio became the main character in the film Vengeance Is Mine, All Others Pay Cash. He plays Ajo Kawir, an impotent man who only focuses on fighting.

"It's amazing… until now I still can't accept 'we've passed it,' but what's clear is it's a new experience for me, it's going to go away," said Marthino Lio at a press conference, Wednesday, November 17.

One of Lio's challenges, when he became Ajo Kawir, was that he had to get used to speaking the standard language. Not only standard but how he looks can already use standard language.

“The hardest thing was when we had to speak using you, me, you, standard language but how to make it sound fun. That's the biggest challenge for me," he said.

In his latest film, Marthino Lio is met with Reza Rahadian who plays Budi Baik, a thug who is good at silat. Regarding his role as a supporting actor, Reza has no problem with that.

"I have no worries in taking a role, whether it's the main role, a supporting role, or maybe just one or two scenes, I don't have that insecurity," said the 34-year-old man.

"As long as I like the character that will be played, yes I respect the opportunity," he explained.

Vengeance Is Mine, All Others Pay Cash is a film adapted from the book of the same name by Eka Kurniawan. Eka and Edwin as directors worked together to make the script together.

Films Vengeance Is Mine, All Others Pay Cash will be released in theaters starting December 2, 2021.
