Conglomerate Hermanto Tanoko's Avian Paint Manufacturers And Mortar Utama Present Product Innovations Through PT BBS
JAKARTA - PT Avia Avian Tbk (Avian Brands), a leading paint company in Indonesia, and PT Cipta Mortar Utama, part of the Saint-Gobain Group, a world leader in construction materials from France, officially announced the formation of a joint venture company under the name PT Bangun Bersama Solusindo (PT BBS).
Unlike other joint venture concepts, this collaboration creates a combination of products that are produced directly by experts in their fields, namely No Drop (Avian Brands) and MU-Mortar Utama.
This collaboration gave birth to an innovative 2-component waterproofing product with the PRO-X 207 brand which has the advantage of being 2 times more waterproof, 2 times more durable, and easier to apply. The PRO-X 207 is now available in all building stores in Indonesia.
As a subsidiary of the Saint-Gobain group, a French company that has been around for more than 350 years, Mortar Utama is ready to support construction in Indonesia.
"Development in Indonesia will continue to grow and through this joint venture we will continue to develop innovative products to provide the best waterproofing solutions for development in Indonesia," said Saint-Gobain Asia Pacific CEO Ludovic Weber in a written statement, Wednesday, November 17.
Vice President Director of Avian Brands, Ruslan Tanoko added, the joint venture between No Drop (Avian Brands) and Mortar Utama is a collaboration to present the right solution for the Indonesian construction market through the best two-component waterproofing product for cement.
"Avian Brands also provides full support in marketing the PRO-X 207 through Avian Brands' wide distribution network," said Ruslan.
Managing Director of Saint-Gobain Indonesia, Ivana Ijaya said, this initiative is in line with Mortar Utama's concern to present the best products in its class which is realized through collaboration with the right partners.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PT Bangun Bersama Solusindo, Ruben said, PRO-X 207 is a waterproofing product that consists of two components. There is a powder developed by MU-Mortar Utama, and a liquid developed by No Drop (Avian Brands).
"By merging two major brands who are experts in their fields, PRO-X 207 is the best 2-component waterproofing product in its class," he said.
"PRO-X 207 has officially been distributed to building shops throughout Indonesia since October 2021. We believe that PRO-X 207 will be the best solution that meets the needs of building materials, from small to large scale," explained Ruben.
"Liquid PRO-X 207 has Acrylic Copolymer technology with water resistance and an intermolecular adhesive level that is more adhesive and denser, as well as a longer resistance level.
