Golkar Legislators: Lt. Gen. Dudung, Bakti Agus, And Lt. Gen. Eko Margiyono, All Three Are OK To Become Army Chiefs
JAKARTA - Member of Indonesia House of Representatives Commission I of Golkar faction, Christina Aryani, is reluctant to say for sure which candidate is supported and has the opportunity to replace General Andika Perkasa at the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD). After General Andika was approved as TNI (Army) Commander.
Christina assessed that the names of the KSAD candidates who came to the fore, such as the Kostrad Commander Lt. Gen. Dudung Abdurachman, Deputy Lt. Gen. TNI Bakti Agus, and the TNI Head Lt. Gen. Eko Margiyono, were qualified figures to fill the KSAD position.
"All three are okay", said Christina in her statement to reporters, Thursday, November 11.
However, when asked further about the possibility that he would serve as Army Chief of Staff, the Golkar politician admitted that he did not know. He appealed to all parties to wait for time.
"I don't know yet, we'll see", he said.

Likewise, regarding the support from the Golkar Party faction, Indonesia House of Representatives Commission I, Christina said that her party had not yet determined its attitude towards the candidate. Her faction was completely handed over to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
"Golkar has not yet made a decision", said Christina.
Previously, Deputy Chairman of Indonesia House of Representatives Commission I, Abdul Kharis Almasyhari, talked about the figure of an army officer who has the opportunity to become the Army Chief of Staff to replace General Andika Perkasa.
Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS) politician assessed that all active officers with the rank of lieutenant general in the Indonesian Army currently have the opportunity to become KSAD.
"So, there is a chance for three stars. There are six with three stars (Letjen) if I'm not mistaken", he said at the Central Executive Board office of Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS), South Jakarta, Wednesday, November 10.
