Not Cooperative, KPK Arrests An Employee Of The Directorate General Of Taxes At The Ministry Of Finance In South Sulawesi

JAKARTA - Investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested one employee of the Directorate General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance in South Sulawesi on Wednesday, November 10 yesterday.

This arrest was made in connection with the development of the tax bribery case that previously ensnared the former Director of Audit and Collection of the Directorate General of Taxes, Angin Prayitno Aji, who is currently being tried at the Jakarta Corruption Court.

"The KPK investigation team has arrested one tax official in connection with the development of a tax corruption case," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Ali Fikri told reporters, Thursday, November 11.

Not specifying the name, Ali only explained that the arrest was made because the tax employee was considered uncooperative.

"We consider the person concerned to be uncooperative during the process of completing the case investigation which is currently being carried out by the KPK," he said.

Furthermore, one person who was arrested will be taken to Jakarta for further investigation. The examination will be carried out at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

"We will convey the progress," he concluded.
