Police Arrest Narcotics Dealer Who Used To Hang Out At The Ojek Base, Kali Pasir Menteng
JAKARTA - A narcotics dealer with the initials AS alias Lele (38) was arrested by members of the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit on Kali Pasir Street, Kebon Sirih, Menteng, Central Jakarta. The man, who works as a motorcycle taxi driver (Ojek) every day, was arrested while hanging out at the motorcycle taxi post.
"The perpetrator carried out his illegal business in the Kebon Manggis area, Matraman, East Jakarta. But we arrested him in Menteng, Central Jakarta", said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Erwin Kurniawan, to VOI, Monday, November 8.
The perpetrator kept the narcotics at a neighbor's house. Even so, the police managed to confiscate 9.9 grams of crystal methamphetamine which had been broken down into 70 small packet clips and one cell phone.
"The small packets of meth are then distributed to consumers", he said.

To the police, AS alias Lele admitted that he got the methamphetamine from a dealer with the initials Batok (DPO). AS and Batok (DPO/wanted list) have a payment system of 'goods sold just paid'.
In each transaction, AS alias Lele obtained 20 grams of methamphetamine from the suspect Batok (DPO). Meanwhile, the confiscated narcotics were methamphetamine which had not been sold.
"The suspect AS alias Lele has made two transactions with Batok. In each transaction, the US picks up the methamphetamine type narcotics to Batok's house (DPO)", he said.
When the case was being developed, the suspect Batok managed to escape. Meanwhile, AS alias Lele was charged with Article 114 paragraph 2 and Article 112 paragraph 2 and Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics with a maximum threat of 20 years", he said.
