To note, Tommy Suharto was involved in the BLBI case for withdrawing funds (credit) from several banks that received the central bank bailout in the 1990s.
Because these banks could not return the funds as promised, the state then pursued the parties who received the money flow to the debtor (customer). It was noted that the debt that Tommy Suharto had to meet was more than IDR 2.61 trillion.
Just so you know, the total state losses that must be borne in the BLBI case are reported to have reached IDR 110.454 trillion. Now, the BLBI Task Force is working hard to catch the fraudulent Bank Indonesia funds to be returned to the state.
