PPP Prediction: General Andika Will Relay The Position Of Commander In Chief To Admiral Yudo Margono, Lieutenant General Dudung Becomes Army Chief Of Staff
JAKARTA - Commission I member of the PPP Faction, Syaifullah Tamliha, assesses that President Jokowi's decision is correct by choosing General Andika Perkasa as the candidate for TNI Commander. Because according to him, Andika is the most senior compared to other chiefs of staff.
"The decision to nominate General Andika Perkasa is a very wise policy because it is impossible for a navy who is younger than Mr. Andika to then occupy the position of TNI commander", Tamliha told reporters, Wednesday, November 3.
Nevertheless, Tamliha predicts that the position of TNI Commander will be transferred to KSAL (Chief of Staff of the Navy) Admiral Yudo Margono. The reason is that Andika Perkasa's term of office will expire in the next 13 months.
"General Andika is already familiar with Commission I, I think the president will give this position to Mr. Andika until he retires in late 2022, and Mr. Yudo will also have the opportunity to become TNI commander after Mr. Andika retires", he said.
In addition to predicting a shift in the position of the TNI Commander, Tamliha also believes that the position of KSAD (Army Chief of Staff) will be filled by Lt. Gen. Dudung Abdurachman, who is now serving as the Kostrad Commander.
"Of course the position of Army Chief of Staff will be vacant, I predict that Mr. Dudung will be the Army Chief of Staff, replacing Andika", he said.
