Thieves Burglarized A School In Tangerang, Learning Equipment Worth IDR 45 Million Was Stolen

TANGERANG – One of the three perpetrators of theft at a kindergarten (TK) school was arrested by the Serpong Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim), South Tangerang.

Officers arrested R, one of the perpetrators who fled to Parung Bogor. According to the Serpong Police Chief, Commissioner Yudi Permadi, R is a recidivist in the theft case. Now R was arrested again for the same case.

"The suspect was arrested in Parung," said Commissioner Yudi Permadi when contacted, Wednesday, November 3.

Yudi also explained that the perpetrators acted by climbing up a shophouse next to the school. Then they entered through the trellis window on the second floor of the school building.

"Through the side shop. Then the perpetrator entered by breaking through the window and destroying the window trellis. As for the evidence, the suspect is still there, he didn't have time to sell it," explained Yudi.

Previously, the perpetrators managed to break into the Bocah Girang school on Jalan Raya Rawa Buntu, Serpong District, South Tangerang City.

The three thieves seemed to have managed to take the equipment belonging to the kindergarten school. This burglary caused the school to suffer losses of up to IDR 45 million.

The Serpong Police Chief, Commissioner Yudi Permadi, confirmed that the perpetrator with the initials R, who was arrested, was a recidivist. Perpetrator R, was secured at his hiding place in the Parung area, Bogor.

Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Serpong Police, Iptu Joko Apriyanto, emphasized that his party was still continuing to investigate the case.

He explained that the perpetrator R, who is a repeat recidivist, was secured at his parents' house in the Parung area.

Precisely, when the arrest was made, the perpetrator hid in a cupboard.

"The suspect was hiding in the closet, he knew the police were looking for him. When he was about to be arrested he hid in the closet," he explained.

As a result of his actions, R was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a maximum imprisonment of 9 years.
