Former Bawaslu Member Asks To Be Reexamined By KPK In Hasto Case Due To Cancer

JAKARTA - Former member of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) Agustiani Tio Fridelina asked the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to reschedule his summons. He admitted that he could not undergo an examination due to cancer he had.

This was conveyed by Agustiani after undergoing examination as a witness in the interim bribery case (PAW) for members of the Indonesian House of Representatives and the obstruction of the investigation that ensnared the Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto today.

"I happen to be in bad health. So I ask for more (inspection, ed)," Agustiani told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, January 6.

Agustiani admitted that she could not speak further about her examination. He only said that he was asked about the information that had been stated in the investigation report (BAP).

"I'm already a bit dizzy," he said.

"It's the same with a lawyer, yes, with a lawyer. Later I will pass out, I want to ask for it," continued Agustiani.

Meanwhile, Army Mulyanto as Agustiani's lawyer said that his client was indeed sick. "So he has cancer. That's why the examination was not completed because I asked Mrs. Tio to be reshuffled," he said at the same location.

The Army said that Agustiani's follow-up examination was planned to be carried out on Wednesday, January 8. Because his client should undergo treatment.

"So the point is that it must be rescheduled. Hopefully it will be Wednesday," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK has named PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and Donny Tri Istiqomah as PDIP cadres and lawyers as suspects in alleged bribery related to interim shifts (PAW) for members of the DPR.

They are suspected of participating in bribing former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan to smooth Harun Masiku's move to become a member of the council.

In addition, Hasto is also a suspect in the obstruction of the investigation. He is suspected of carrying out a number of ways to make the case unfinished, one of which asked Harun to destroy his cellphone and run away after the hand arrest operation (OTT) was held.

In this case, the anti-corruption commission continues to summon a number of witnesses who know the actions of the suspects. Among them are the former Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham) of the era of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Yasonna Hamonangan Laoly to former Director General of Immigration Ronny Sompie.
