Journalist's House In Pamulang Was Burglarized, Losses Reached IDR 40 Million But Police Said It Was Just An Ordinary Theft

TANGERANG - The house of a journalist at the Pamulang Permai Complex, West Pamulang, South Tangerang was burglarized. As a result of the incident, the victim, Muhamad Rizki Hidayat, suffered losses of tens of millions of rupiah.

Rizki said the incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, November 6 when he and his wife were fast asleep. Suddenly the victim heard a sound that woke the victim's wife.

As he approached the source of the sound, Rizki's wife was surprised to see an unknown person standing in front of the door of the house.

"His wife woke me up while shouting 'Thief! Thief! Thief!'," Rizki said when confirmed, Monday, November 6.

However, when Rizky and his wife approached the door, the perpetrator had already fled. Based on the testimony of the victim's wife, the perpetrator's body was thin with a height of about 170 centimeters, wearing a hoodie and trousers.

"But we don't know if the perpetrator is really alone or if there are other people who help," he added.

As a result of the theft, the victim suffered a loss of around Rp. 40 million because there were a number of valuables that were allegedly lost with the perpetrator.

The victim explained that the missing items were three cellphones of various brands, laptops, cash to wedding rings.

"There are also missing, wedding rings, cash in wallets worth nearly five hundred thousand and press cards," he said.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pamulang Police, AKP Hitler, said that the incident was not a robbery but an ordinary theft, because the missing items were not too big.

"It was an ordinary theft, not a robbery. Tell the friends that the robbery was not just the theft of weighting Article 363 of the Criminal Code. The perpetrators only took things, laptops, cellphones on the table. That's all that was taken," said Hitler.
