WEST PAPUA - The West Papuan Police have named 11 suspects on the People's Wanted List (DPO) for the armed attack that killed Sergeant Posthumously Miskael Rumbiak in Maybrat district, West Papua, on January 20, 2022.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Papua Police, Kombes Adam Erwindi, said that the 11 suspects named in the DPO were the militant group of the West Papua National Committee (KNPB) in the Maybrat area.

"The pictures along with the identities of the 11 DPOs are field commanders and members of Kodap IV KNPB militant Maybrat who continue to threaten the security of civilians and fight against state officials in the area", said Adam Erwindi in Manokwari, Antara on Thursday, February 24.

The identities of the 11 DPOs were immediately disseminated to all Police Office ranks as well as in public places within the jurisdiction of the West Papua Regional Police for the public to know. He appealed to the people of West Papua to report to the police quick complaint number or the nearest security post if they know one of the 11 DPOs.

"The public can report to the police's quick complaint number (110) or the telephone number of the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Sorsel Police (082399760680), Kanit I of the South Sorsel Police (081382929298), or the Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the West Papua Police (082112259716)", said Adam Erwindi.

The 11 DPOs were led by Arnoldus Jansen Kocu as field commander of the Maybrat KNPB Kodap IV militant and his subordinates, namely the Deputy Minister, Manuel Aimau, Chusme Aitief, Sepnat Fatem, Zakarias Kamat, Rendy Fatem, Hamelus Assem, Vincen Frabuku, Thomas Assem, and Libertus Assem.

"The West Papua Police also appealed to the 11 DPOs of the militant group KNPB Maybrat to surrender properly to account for their actions, because at any time you will be hunted down and you will definitely be caught", said the Head of Public Relations of the West Papua Police.

It is known that the Maybrat KNPB militant group attacked on January 20, 2022, against five members of the Indonesian Army from Yon Zipur 20/PPA Sorong while carrying out community service tasks by building a connecting bridge in the East Aifat District of Maybrat.

"This group attack killed Sertu Posthumously Miskael Rumbiak, one of the best native Papuan sons in the Indonesian Army unit, while four other members were injured", added the Head of Public Relations.
