Huawei Cooperation, XL Axiata Launches The First Commercial Digital Map Network In Asia Pacific

JAKARTA - XL Axiata together with Huawei successfully conducted a live trial network, and at the same time became the first to start commercial use for the Digital Map Network in Asia Pacific.

This success is proof that SRv6 end-to-end Network Digital Map based on network architecture (E2E) and software-defined networking (SDN) automation technology is key for XL Axiata in strengthening its digital foundation for its autonomous network.

In terms of cutting latency, this technology can complete optimization and improvements independently in a matter of minutes, thus providing better experience for 4G/5G users and business customers for XL Axiata's convergence network.

"In line with the three main strategies of XL Axiata, namely network convergence, digitization and automation, as well as customer-centered approaches, XL Axiata sees that network infrastructure development is very important towards the realization of digital transformation," said I Gede Darmayusa, CTO XL Axiata in a statement received on Tuesday, November 7.

To make this happen, XL Axiata builds an integrated network infrastructure with a high level of efficiency, a support for future growth for cellular services, the company's scale, and the home sphere.

To support XL Axiata in realizing SRv6 automation and developing autonomous networks, Huawei presents a Digital Map Network on NCE iMasters.

Hui Wang, Vice President of Data Communication Product Line Huawei, said that digital transformation remains the focus of global development in the next decade.

"Network Digital Map at Huawei iMaster NCE will help XL Axiata build a digital foundation for autonomous networks and realize visualization in one map, demarcation in one minute, and optimization in one click," said Hui Wang.

Going forward, Huawei plans to further strengthen its cooperation with XL Axiata in strengthening digital foundations and increasing large-scale commercial deployments from the Network Digital Map and E2E SRv6 automation that relies on customers.

XL Axiata and Huawei will also provide a convergence IP transport service that is automatic and intelligent with an increasingly optimal experience.
