Siemens And Microsoft Release Joint Projects Using Artificial Intelligence To Improve Productivity

JAKARTA - Siemens and Microsoft announced on Tuesday, October 31 a joint project to use artificial intelligence to increase productivity and human-machine collaboration.

Copilot's Industrial Siemens scheme will see the two companies working together to use a generating AI for the manufacturing, transportation and healthcare industries.

German automotive supplier Schaeffler AG is among the companies that have adopted Siemens Industrial Copilot, Siemens said.

The project will create a autopilot AI to help staff at customer companies as they design new products, and manage production and maintenance.

The project reviews information collected by Siemens and helps customers quickly create, upgrade, and improve complex automation codes and shorten simulation times in their factories and other facilities.

Schaeffler has used a generative AI to help its engineers program industrial automation systems such as robots. They intend to use Siemens Industrial Copilot to reduce production stop times at their factories.

According to Siemens, tasks that previously took weeks can now be completed in a matter of minutes.

"This has the potential to revolutionize the way companies design, develop, manufacture and operate," Siemens Chief Executive Roland Busch said.

"Providing wider human-machine collaboration allows engineers to accelerate code development, improve innovation, and address the shortage of skilled workers," added Busch.
