JAKARTA - The role of the Application Programming Interface (API) is very important for each platform, especially for Threads. Without API, Threads will not be able to interact with other applications.

Some users are starting to talk about how sad Threads are without API and they hope the platform can have it soon. Apparently, this conversation got a response from Instagram Head Adam Mosseri.

Mosseri revealed that his team was working on the API. He also said, "My concern is that there will be more publishing content and no more content creators, but it looks like we still need to solve this."

Quoting from The Verge, API can improve the experience of using Threads through third-party applications and site experiences. In addition, seeing interactions and content in Threads will be easier.

If you look at Twitter, people can get interactive persona through a joke bot to a summary of the thread with the API. This may happen in Threads to attract more users.

Some time ago, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that Threads almost reached millions of active users per month. This figure is able to develop if Meta manages to make a new breakthrough.
