JAKARTA - Earlier this year, Kinetic Games announced that its newest horror game, Phasmophobia, would soon be coming to the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PS VR2, although the wait took longer than expected.

Initially, Phasmophobia was planned to launch on consoles in August, but eventually developers postponed it until October. And now, the Kinectic Games are delaying the game's launch again.

"While we are still trying to adapt to a new remote work life after the fire incident and to set up a new office, we face an unexpected challenge in adapting this game to the console," the company wrote in its latest announcement.

"These factors have affected our development schedule more than we previously expected," he added.

The company admits that in the midst of preparations for the launch of its game on PlayStation VR2, they decided to rework the entire map to ensure a smooth gaming experience for players.

"In this case, we have to rework the Maple Lodge Camp with a completely new layout. This decision, although it took time for our art team, is important to provide the best gaming experience," he explained.

Although initially Kinetic Games wanted to launch Phasmophobia along with the Halloween show, the complexity and challenges faced today make the company need more time to solve it.

However, the developer did not say exactly when this game would be released. Perhaps, more information will soon be announced in the future.

"We will continue to provide you with the latest information on our progress and provide a revised release date soon after we have more information to share," the company concluded.
