JAKARTA – Apple seems to want to reduce repair costs on the iPhone 15 Pro Max because of its new design. This design covers the middle frame, key components under the screen, and the glass back.
Unfortunately, this new design does not have much effect when repairing the device. Quoted from The Verge, iFixit assesses that the iPhone 15 Pro Max still has a number of problems with the device.
Apple is known to have redesigned the midframe for the iPhone 15. This midframe can be accessed by removing the rear screen or rear glass of the device.
However, iFixit found that the internal parts of the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are directly behind the screen, not on the rear glass. These changed settings can introduce risks during critical repairs.
One form of repair that iFixit mentions is battery replacement. iFixit claims that replacing the battery on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max series is riskier than the iPhone 14.
Another problem appears when opening the screen. Considering that a heat gun is needed to open the screen, it is possible that the cable connecting the screen to the device is torn.

Additionally, swapping parts on the iPhone Pro Max is still difficult. Independent repair shops that carry out repairs need to use parts purchased directly from Apple to avoid loss of function.
iFixit points out that great software won't be able to work if the ability to swap components isn't there. When this happens, repair on the phone will decrease drastically.
