China's Galactic Energy Fails To Launch Satellite Into Orbit

JAKARTA - Galactic Energy, a commercial rocket company from China, failed to launch. Supposedly, the launch, which was launched on Thursday, September 21, was the 10th launch attempt.

The failure felt by Galactic Energy was informed six hours after making launch efforts from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The company reported that the Ceres-1 rocket and its cargo had disappeared.

Quoted from Spacenews, Ceres-1 carried the Jilin-1 Gaofen-04B satellite belonging to Changguang Satellite Technology (CGST). The loss of the rocket and the satellite carried by Ceres-1 will not make Galactic Energy silent. They will carry out an investigation.

'Flying rockets are not normal and launch missions fail. Specific reasons are being analyzed and investigated further," wrote Galactic Energy via WeChat, quoted fromSpace.

Despite the failure, the previous nine launches went very well. The failure of this launch was the first failure for Galactic Energy since it first started the mission in November 2021.

With the launch of Ceres-1, Galactic Energy wants to expand the Jilin-1 constellation in space. Jilin-1 was developed to trade satellite images that have such high refresh speed.

The company initially only planned to launch 138 satellites for commercial purposes. However, its determination was expanded to 300 satellites by 2025.
