JAKARTA - The "attractable" ad posted by individuals on social media, has now experienced recent violent competition with artificial intelligence ads.
Start-ups that market virtual friends, which are sexually available to lonely men, are starting to appear on social media. These signatures promise 'love AI' whose'machine learning' architecture basically learns user preferences.
Sites like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok are worried, given that these new ads have shown great ability to address content moderation barriers imposed to block oversexual content.
Even worse, in some ads, memes that include the famous children's TV characters from Cookie Monster to SummerBob SquarePants are reused in the doubtful 'fair use' case to promote AI sex apps and its ability to produce inappropriate images.
Other ads feature girls produced digitally or potentially generated by AI with uncertain ages and can be considered teenagers or younger.
For the Meta section, Meta has claimed that they have addressed such ads, which seem to violate their policies.
As the company said in a statement to NBC News, Meta argues that their ban on adult content does not exclude content generated by AI.
"Our policy prohibits ads containing adult content that are too offensive or sexually provocative - whether it is generated by AI or not," said a Meta spokesperson. "Our policies and law enforcement are designed to adapt in this very competitive space, and we are actively monitoring new trends in content generated by AI."
Meta also notified the news station that it is reviewing a version of their policy that can be accessed by the public and advertisers, to ensure that their language is clear enough.
Over the years, and in some cases more than a decade, social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok have been in a standoff with sex workers, sex education advocates, and artists who have all complained of harsh and prudent moderation policies.

Many of these advocates are concerned about the silent consent or soft treatment of the app developer's paid ads.
"Sex workers are not allowed to make money from their image," said Carolina Are, a researcher at Northumbria University's Center for Digital Citizens, "But a technician who creates a similar AI image can."
▁Utama Rodriguez, CEO of adult toy maker Unbound, told NBC News that his company often faces frightening obstacles in advertising with Meta.
He expressed his confusion and frustration over the ability of this AI chatbot ad to avoid content moderation, indicating that this issue shows evidence of inconsistent and biased enforcement.
"They don't address the root issue: Why can these ads pass without a hitch?" said Rodriguez.
