JAKARTA - The online multiplayer massive game (MMO) 'Sky: Children of Light' broke the Guinness World Record for the Most Users in the Virtual Concert Bertema World.

This record was achieved through the innovative technology of developers of thatgamecompany (TGC) which brings together more than 10,000 online players on Gamescom.

CEO and Creative Director of game developer TGC Jenova Chen in a statement, Saturday (26/8), said Sky along with infrastructure support from Amazon Web Service and TGC not only broke down multiplayer constraints and standard performance in live games, but also the possibility of being connected in the digital era.

'Sky: Children of Light' is famous for its beautiful animated landscape, touching stories, and relationships between players around the world.

The game has always grown and maintained a loyal community of players since its debut in 2019 and recently surpassed 260 million downloads.

"All of our players deserve an award for their record-breaking achievements. Their support and desire to jointly revive the essence of Sky has succeeded in making Sky continue to exist to this day," Chen said, quoted by Antara, Sunday.

At this record-breaking event, the sky in Sky is decorated with a color and light display as the players crowd, both at the Sky booth at Gamescom and around the world and experience animated travel during a virtual concert with the famous international singer, Aurora.

"Although that game keeps building Sky, it is our dedicated community that has built a universe in this game," Chen said.

Fans who want to watch Sky's record-breaking rebroadcast or players who miss a moment in the history of this game can watch a rebroadcast on the Twitch thatgamecopy channel.

The world record 'Sky: Children of Light' is also realized when developers prepare to take this game to PC.

New and old players can download games for free via Steam before the end of this year. Games can also be played on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, and mobile devices before the launch of their PCs.
