Apple Rejects Twitter Rebranding To Be X, Refuses To Show New Logo On App Store

JAKARTA - Elon Musk as the owner of X, in a rebranding from Twitter, must seduce Apple so that the name of the new app is approved on the App Store.

The App Store is known not to be able to receive a new name for the Twitter app on iOS, as all registered applications have minimum character requirements.

Although the name of the iOS application can be up to 30 characters, but the length must be at least two characters. Otherwise, the name of the application will be rejected by Apple, as quoted from Bleeping Computer, Monday, July 31.

"If they manage to get approval, it will mark the first example since the start of the iOS App Store that the permit has been granted," the Sheriff said.

The hasty and inconsistent rebranding of Twitter appears to cause problems in other areas, both legal and technical.

The change in the application icon to X triggered a security alert for Microsoft Edge users this week. In fact, internet content filters in Indonesia have also started blocking the website x.com, because it is claimed to be adult content.
