AC Milan Loses Badly, PSG Goes To The Top Of The Standings

JAKARTA - AC Milan lost badly in the Champions League match. In the duel in Group F at the Parc des Princes Stadium, Thursday, October 26 early morning WIB, Paris Saint-German beat Milan 3-0. This victory led PSG to take the top of the standings.

A duel between the two best teams in the deadly group because it is filled with strong teams. However, Milan did not move when they visited PSG headquarters and again failed to get full points.

Milan had to suffer their first defeat after drawing twice against Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund.

This result made it difficult for Milan to advance to the knockout rounds. The reason is, the Rossoneri occupy the bottom of Group F with two points.

Meanwhile, PSG successfully topped the standings. After reaping bad results when beaten by Newcastle 4-1 at St James' Park, PSG managed to recover to beat Milan.

Now, PSG has six points. They are two points ahead of Dortmund who narrowly won 1-0 over Newcastle.

Newcastle, which previously sat at the top, was forced to resign and is in third place with four points. Their points are the same as Dortmund, but the Magpies lost on goal difference.

In that match, PSG actually displayed an aggressive playing style. Even though they were able to control the game, they had difficulty penetrating Milan's defense.

It took patience from Kylian Mbappe et al to tear apart the Rossoneri defense and then convert the opportunities they obtained into goals.

This hope was finally realized when Mbappe broke into Milan's goal in the 32nd minute. The goal came from Warren Zaire-Emery's pass to the French national team captain. Mbappe himself managed to outwit the Milan defender before kicking the ball into the goal.

Furthermore, PSG still failed to add goals. Likewise, Milan could not penetrate the PSG goal which was guarded by Gianluigi Donnarumma, the former goalkeeper for the Italian Serie A club. PSG's 1-0 lead lasted until the end of the first half.

In the second half, PSG moved quickly to put pressure on Milan. As a result, forward Ousmane Dembele successfully scored a goal in the 48th minute. However, Dembele's goal was disallowed because his partner Manuel Ugarte was deemed to have committed the foul first.

But Dembele didn't give up. Only five minutes later, the former Barcelona player then provided an assist to Randal Kolo Muani.

This opportunity was completed well when Muani fired a kick which hit goalkeeper Mike Maignan so that the ball turned and flew into the empty goal.

Behind 2-0, Milan tried to get back up. They recorded a chance through Christian Pulisic which was then thwarted by Donnarumma. Likewise, Rafael Leao's effort almost resulted in a goal if it wasn't pushed over by the Italian national team goalkeeper.

Next, Mbappe got two good opportunities. This time his two attempts failed because they were brilliantly thwarted by Maignan.

However, Maignan couldn't prevent it when South Korean star Lee Kang-in found the net in the 89th minute. He completed an assist from Zaire-Emery. The score changed to 3-0 for PSG and lasted until the end of the match.
