Badminton Asian Games 2023: Qualifying For The Last 16, Gregoria Is Not Satisfied, Putri KW Is Starting To Be Comfortable

JAKARTA - Indonesian women's singles, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and Putri Kusuma Wardani, qualified for the round of 16 of the 2023 Asian Games, Tuesday, October 3.

Gregoria won two straight games over India's Ashmita Chaliha, with a score of 21-17 and 21-16 at Binjiang Gymnasium, China. Despite winning, Gregoria did not seem very satisfied with her appearance.

"Overall I haven't been what I wanted because I made a lot of mistakes that are very profitable for the late," said Gregoria, after the match.

"Because I made a lot of mistakes myself, it made me depressed even though I was finally able to get out of that situation, but this was a record for me," he continued, as reported by Antara.

Meanwhile, Putri KW qualified after defeating Hong Kong representative, Liang Ka Wing. He won two straight games 21-11 and 21-10.

Unlike Gregoria, Putri KW admits that she is comfortable with the game she shows in the match against Liang. He hopes to play nicely in every match.

"I have felt comfortable with my style of playing compared to previous tournaments. Hopefully the results will also be good," said Putri.

"I am quite satisfied with today's performance but when I entered the field there was a sudden sense of tension. This should not happen tomorrow," he continued.
