Barcelona Vs Celta Vigo, Keep Momentum At Camp Nou

Barcelona will try to win their sixth consecutive victory in all competitions while continuing La Liga at Camp Nou Stadium. Meladeni Celta Vigo on Saturday, September 23, Xavi's side is 13 points from the first five games of the season.

The Catalan team will face three League games against Celta, Mallorca and Sevilla before continuing to FC Porto for their second match in the Champions League group stage. Currently, it is difficult to see where Barca's first defeat of the season will come from.

Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo, who joined the transfer market's final day, have adapted well at Barcelona, and the Xavi squad looks better prepared for this busy season.

Last season Barcelona beat Celta 1-0 at Camp Nou. But Celta managed to reply 2-1 in the back game at Vigo at the end of the 2022-23 season.

Bad Start Celta

Only this time Celta had a hard time at the start of the season. They only collected four points from the first five games, so they were in 16th place in the standings. Rafael Benitez has only picked up one point from the first three games of the season and lost at home against Osasuna and Real Madrid.

Celta did manage to get three points while playing away against Almeria before the international break. It's just that they lost 1-0 to Mallorca last weekend. Now they have to face Barcelona who are in good form.

Celta has only scored four goals in La Liga this season, and their main striker, Iago Aspas, who is 36, has yet to score in the 2023-24 season.

Judging by the depth of the squad, Barcelona will still lose Pedri's services due to a thigh injury problem. However, Ronald Araujo may return to the squad because he is nearing full recovery after a hamstring injury.

Coach Xavi faces difficult decisions regarding his team's election, especially in attack, with Raphinha, Ferran Torres, and Lamine Yamal competing to get a place in starting XI as a right-wing player.

Joao Felix, who showed off his goalscoring skills like when he scored two goals againstturnerp, is expected to keep playing on the left. Alejandro Balde, who has just signed a new contract, is likely to appear as a left back.

Celta's squad is also in good condition, except for Franco Cervi who is recovering from a muscle injury. Celta coach Rafael Benitez is unlikely to make any significant changes after their defeat to Mallorca, although Tasos Douvikas could compete for a place in the starting lineup with Iago Aspas.

Jonathan Bamba and Lucas de la Torre are expected to continue to play their roles in the starting lineup.
