Italian Legend Walter Zenga Angry Indonesian Football Inaugurated

JAKARTA Indonesian football is currently still considered the third world. The title is because Indonesia is a developing country including its football sport.

The assessment angered former Italy national team goalkeeper Walter Zenga. He said Indonesian football is currently not at level one, but his passion is very different.

"This assessment made me angry. Of course, Indonesian football is not at level one, but in different football. There is a lot of passion for this sport," he said as quoted by Corriere Dello Sport.

This anger is very natural because Zenga is currently in direct contact with Indonesian football since being appointed as the director of the development of the Persita Tangerang club.

The 63-year-old man has lived in Tangerang since June 23. His decision to choose Indonesia then raises the question of why he does not choose a country with advanced football as a destination.

Zenga said that previously he was noted to have coached in Saudi Arabia, especially in Al Nassr. At that time football in the country was completely unknown as it is today.

"After all, I always go first. In 2006 I coached in Turkey, in 2010 in Saudi Arabia in Al-Nassr, where Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcelo Brozovic played today," he said.

"I like the approach of Indonesians' lives, calm and polite. Only the traffic is bad. At my age, all we think about is today. I live today, I no longer look to the future," he added.
