UEFA Nations League Final Meets The Spanish National Team With Croatia

JAKARTA - The 2022/2023 UEFA Nations League Final finally brought together the Spanish national team with Croatia. This certainty was obtained after Spain beat Italy in the semifinals.

La Furia Roja beat Italy 2-1 at De Grolsch Vesce, Twenty, Netherlands on Friday, June 16 in the morning WIB.

Spain will meet Croatia who the day before defeated the hopes of hosting the Netherlands. In that match, Luka Modric and his friends won with a striking 4-2 score.

In the Spanish versus Italian match, La Furia Roja was able to take the lead quickly. Spain has managed to open the scoring thanks to Pino's goal when the game had only been running for three minutes. Taking advantage of the carelessness of the Italian players, Pino quickly stole the ball and beat Gianluigi Donnarumma. The score became 1-0.

Seven minutes later, Italy received a penalty after Robin Le Normand made a handball in the forbidden box. Immobile, who acted as the executioner, successfully beat Unai Simon and made it 1-1.

In the 21st minute, Italy had scored a goal through Davide Frattesi's action. Unfortunately, this goal had to be disallowed because the player had already stood in an offside position.

Spain created a number of golden opportunities in the remainder of the first half. However, no additional goals were created. The 1-1 score lasted until the match entered halftime.

Back from the dressing room, Spain almost took the lead again in the 48th minute. The chances of Mikel Merino being able to be countered by Gianluigi Donnarumma, and the rebound ball failed to be maximized by Alvaro Morata.

Italy almost scored in the 65th minute. A neat attack was built by Federico Dimarco trying to be completed by Frattesi. Unfortunately, his shot was blocked by Unai Simon.

Spain managed to return to the lead in the 88th minute thanks to the goal of substitute Joselu. Rodri's shot hit the Italian and was later deflected by Joselu who stood free.

Italy failed to catch up with the remaining time. The 2-1 score for Spain's victory is also the final result of this match, as reported by Antara.
