German MotoGP: Tough Test For The King Of Sachsenring

JAKARTA - The 2023 MotoGP race will continue to the Sachsenring Circuit, Germany. This will be a tough test for Marc Marquez.

Repsol Honda will struggle to maintain his status as "king" from the Sachsenring Circuit. At the 3.67 km long circuit, Marquez became the most successful driver with 11 wins from his last 11 appearances in all classes since 2010.

Marquez deserves the nickname "SachsenKing" because he has been unbeaten since 2013 with the top eight podiums in the MotoGP class, most recently in 2021 when he won his first emotional win since his prolonged injury in 2020.

The Repsol Honda team rider will try to treat the frustration he got after falling in Italy last week, and he has not managed to finish a Grand Prix race this season.

Mugello proved to be very tough to beat by Marquez, who is now shifting his focus from one of the fastest circuits on the calendar to one of the slowest and technicalest on Honda continues to improve their motor performance.

"When you have a difficult weekend, the best thing that can happen is to race again right away," Marquez was quoted as saying on the team's official website.

"We arrived at the Sachsenring, a track I really like and had a lot of success there. Of course, I want to perform well, focus and determinacy 100 percent as usual.

"There will be a lot of challengers this year and we need to work well from the start of the weekend to prepare for Saturday and Sunday and continue Honda's development," said Marquez, who was absent in Germany last year for continuing his injury recovery.
