Frank Lampard's Tough Task, Building Chelsea's Confidence Ahead Of The Match Against Real Madrid

JAKARTA - Chelsea will face tough challenges in the Champions League. The Blues must beat Real Madrid by a three-goal difference to qualify for the Champions League semi-finals.

They will carry the mission when they host Los Blancos at Stamford Bridge, Wednesday, April 19 in the morning WIB. In the first leg which took place at the Santiago Bernabeu, Thiago Silva and his friends lost 0-2.

Chelsea's interim manager, Frank Lampard, is trying to rebuild the confidence of his players. Especially in the last three matches, the Blues have had bad results.

After occupying the position of manager, Lampard has not succeeded in presenting the victory.

"Work to build confidence is what we need, because there is talent in the squad," Lampard told the club's official website on Monday.

The Chelsea legend is faced with a difficult situation to bring the London Blue Team back to its best form after appearing sluggish under Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter coaching seats.

"Every conversation is done differently. Each player needs confidence but there are different ways to achieve it. There are more conversations and meetings than things on the training ground," Lampard explained.

Chelsea this season are in a slump. In the Premier League competition, they are ranked 11th and threatened with not being able to appear in the Champions League next season.

Chelsea's only chance is to win the Champions League trophy this season. But in the last six games, Chelsea have yet to win and only scored three goals.
