JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Lubricants through Pertamina Fastron will return to being the Official Technical Partner of Lamborghini Squadra Corse until 2025.

"We have 2.5 years of cooperation, this collaboration is useful, yes, (in the future) we will continue to develop their technology (Lamborghini) and the world per lubricants, maybe also in fuel, (but) not only providing it, not only providing sponsors," said President Director of PT Pertamina Lubricants, Werry Prayogi to VOI during a press conference at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023 at ICE BSD, Saturday, August 12.

"We are also commercially accepted if our products are fully accepted and Lamborghini admits that of course this is the time for us the Fastron brand will fulfill all Lamborghini technology, can be developed commercially and useful for us Pertamina, both its fuel and its lubricants," he added.

This collaboration began, from the challenges facing Lamborghini Squadra Corse in developing the Super Trofeo race on the Asian continent which has a climate that is quite extreme in the summer.

In response to the challenge in 2015, Pertamina Lubricants, in collaboration with Lamborghini Squadra Corse, developed the new Fastron Platinum Racing 10W-60 with special specifications for use in the Super Trofeo race.

The presence of Fastron oil in various world-class supercar racing events is a form of research and experimental forums that will become a reference for technology development, both Pertamina Lubricants and Lamborghini cars in the future.

"This fuel and oil will also always be developed according to the development of Lamborghini's own technology and this will also continue as before, because we will issue a lot of new technology," said Lamborghini Head of Motorsport, Giorgio Sanna.

Sanna explained that behind the continuation of this collaboration, Lamborghini has experienced quality technology from Pertamina Lubricants over the last few years and has achieved the expected results on racing track around the world.

"We hope to enter a new era by developing high-performance oil and sustainable technology by using resilience competitions in GT3 and LMDh, as the best benchmark that combines performance and reliability," said Sanna.

This is also based on comprehensive research and rigorous testing in world standard laboratories and tested in various conditions.

For information, Pertamina Fastron oil will be used in Lamborghini Super Trofeo, GT3, World Endurance Championship, and The International Motor Sports Association Championships for the Le Mansprid hypercar category.
