Get Rid Of It, VW ID.Buzz Debut In Uncle Sam's Country This June

JAKARTA - German automotive company Volkswagen will soon release one of its electric vans, ID.Buzz for the United States market on June 2, 2023.

Reporting from Motor Authority, Thursday, May 18, VW also announced cooperation with an organization called National Day Calendar by making June 2 the birth of the electric van.

VW ID.Buzz is one of the vehicles using the MEB Group playform from Volkswagen designed for electric cars. Another model, VW ID.4 also uses the platform for the US market.

The electric-powered van has a wide dimension with a wheelbase of 2,988 mm, a length of 4,712 mm, a width of 1,985 mm, and a height of 1,937 mm.

The manufacturer also said that for the US market, VW ID.Buzz will get a long-wheelbase variant with a length of three rows of seats as a standard variant.

In addition, VW ID.Buzz is also equipped with 82 kWh of battery. However, the long wheelbase version is expected to get a larger battery capacity of 111 kWh, which will make this van go with a distance of 482 km in one charge.

ID.Buzz will be assembled at the VW factory located in Hannover, Germany. In fact, the manufacturer is also considering expanding its production period of ID.Buzz in the US and will share the factory with ID.4 at the Chattanooga plant, Tennessee, United States.
