Bawaslu Asked To Investigate The Truth Of The Sorong Regent's Integrity Pact Even Though The Head Of BIN Denies

JAKARTA - The Democratic Party (PD) asked the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) to investigate the veracity of the alleged integrity pact of the Acting Regent of Sorong, Yan Piet Moso, with the Head of Regional BIN (Kabinda) West Papua to win the presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo.

Democrats think Bawaslu must follow up even though the Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), Budi Gunawan, has denied the existence of the integrity pact.

"The rebuttal of the Head of BIN for the circulation of the integrity pact of the Acting Regent of Sorong with the West Papua Kabinda is predictable. Of course, when political operations leak or fail, there is always denial," said Deputy of Bappilu DPP Democrat, Kamhar Lakumani, to reporters, Wednesday, November 22.

According to Kamhar, the case of alleged integrity pact to win Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election is a practice of cheating that is clear.

"This is clearly aka clear as a tangible form of abuse of power and violation of the principle of neutrality of state officials and administrators," said Kamhar.

Therefore, Kamhar asked Bawaslu to seriously follow up on this integrity pact case. The public, according to him, must also continue to monitor it.

"This is sufficient as preliminary evidence. Bawaslu and KASN must be more proactive in following up. The public must also continue to monitor this so that it doesn't just evaporate. This is a bad precedent for democracy," he said.

It is known that Budi Gunawan's cabinet had opened its voice when asked about the integrity pact. He denied the existence of the pact.

"Nothing. Nothing. The intelligence period is like that," said Budi Gunawan after the inauguration of General Agus Subiyanto as TNI Commander at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 22.

Meanwhile, previously, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto alluded to the perpetrators of manipulation regarding the issue of the integrity pact of the Acting Regent of Sorong and BIN Papua. Hasto assessed that the manipulation makers would reap the manipulations carried out.

"Well, we will see later because this politics is the flow of truth, whoever does the manipulation will reap something much bigger, because various opinion advocates are carried out to cover his track record, so that later there will be a dialect, the truth is true," said Hasto to reporters at the Sari Pacific Hotel, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Saturday, November 18.

Hasto, who is also the Secretary of the Ganjar-Mahfud National Winning Team (TPN), emphasized that PDIP did not use the integrity pact method to win Ganjar-Mahfud. He said PDIP does not know manipulation and drama.
