Prostitution Under The Guise Of A Massage Parlor In Pulogebang Is Increasing, Residents Ask The East Jakarta City Government To Be Firm

JAKARTA - The localization area of prostitution on the East Side of the Toll Road, Pulogebang, Cakung District, East Jakarta, has been complained of by local residents.

In particular, residents of Kampung Sawah Indah RT 001/RW 05 Pulogebang, Cakung District asked the East Jakarta City Government to immediately control the place of immorality under the guise of the massage parlor.

"Residents asked for the closure of prostitution (business) under the guise of a massage parlor, which was troubling. Previously, there were only one to two places, for a long time, there were around 15 massage parlors," said Head of Sawah Indah Village, Dasrizal, Wednesday, November 22.

Furthermore, Dasrizal said, the existence of plus-plus massage parlors has existed since 2005. But in the past, there were only 2 massage parlors. Over time, a massage parlor was established, bringing the number to three. Gradually, the number is increasing.

"It's better for residents to worry because sometimes (commercial sex workers) have entered (sale themselves) into the alley (securities), not on the side of the road," he said.

Dasrizal said, in the area there is an alley called the Prosperous Gang. This alley is the main road for residents of Kampung Sawah Indah. Commercial sex workers (PSK) have started working in the alley. In fact, residents who pass are not only adults, but also children.

"The children don't want to go through there because they are afraid. We have warned them, but they are ignored. We decided to close it. But a few days later, they opened again," he said.

Residents hope that the East Jakarta City Government through the Satpol PP will immediately take firm action against the existence of prostitution practices in the residents. The reason is, if the government does not hear the aspirations of the residents, residents will take firm action in the form of closing the area.
