Public Prosecutor's Office Of Medan Demands Death Of Courier Of 43 Kilograms Of Shabu

The Public Prosecutor of the Medan District Prosecutor's Office, Risnawati Ginting, has demanded the death of the defendant Wardani Ibrahim alias Ibrahim, an Acehnese in the case of being a courier for 43 kilograms of methamphetamine.

"Demanding the defendant Wardani Ibrahim alias Ibrahim with the death penalty," said Risnawati at the Medan District Court, North Sumatra, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 21.

He said from the facts of the trial the defendant had fulfilled the criminal element of violating Article 114 (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) of Law no. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

The essence of the article, said Risnawati, is mutual malicious conspiracy without rights or against the law, offering to be sold, sell, buy, receive, become intermediaries, in buying and selling, exchanging or handing over class I narcotics in the form of non-shabu-shabu type plants weighing 43 kilograms.

"The aggravating thing is that the defendant's actions do not support the government's program in eradicating drugs, while there are no mitigating factors," he said.

After reading the memorandum of demand, the panel of judges chaired, Dahlan, continued the trial with a memorandum of defense from the defendant's legal counsel and the defendant which was scheduled for next week.

In the indictment, it was revealed that the defendant called Sofyan alias Tulang (separate file) and left crystal methamphetamine at his residence one night.

After agreeing, the person met Sofyan on Jalan Kakak Tua, Medan Sunggal District, Medan to give him a bag containing methamphetamine. Then, Acong (DPO) contacted the defendant Wardani Ibrahim to order Sofyan to give it to EVI (DPO) at a price of Rp. 300 million.

Then, Sofyan and Evi agreed to meet at the toll bridge area, Medan Marelan. It's just that arriving at the location, Evi, whose prospective buyer does not have Rp. 300 million, is therefore owed in advance, but they do not agree.

In short, the defendant Wardani Ibrahim alias Ibrahim on Jalan TB. Simatupang, Medan was arrested by BNN along with evidence.
