JAKARTA - The economic pressure made a street busker with the initials IH (25) darken his eyes. IH was desperate to turn a job into a mugging with his friend with the initials TA (24) on Jalan Condet, Balekambang, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta.

However, IH's reckless actions ended in iron bars. IH and TA were arrested by members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kramat Jati Police after the victim's parents made a police report.

"The motive for the perpetrator IH snatched because he was hit by the economy. His son was sick with steps, so he needed money for his son's medical expenses," Kramat Jati Police Chief Commissioner Rusit Malaka told reporters, Tuesday, November 21.

In his daily life, the suspect IH works as a street busker. The suspect IH is a resident of Kramatjati.

"So the perpetrators of IH are under pressure from the economy," he said.

Previously, ACL (12) a 6th grade student at SDN 03 Balekambang became a victim of a cell phone snatching by two perpetrators on Jalan Condet, Balekambang, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta. The victim was dragged up to several meters because he tried to defend his cellphone.

The mugging incident was caught on CCTV cameras at the scene. The victim's parents, Sularno, reported the incident that happened to their child to the Kramat Jati Police.

After receiving the police report, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kramat Jati Police immediately chased the two perpetrators. As a result, the two perpetrators with the initials IH (25) and TA (24) were arrested.

"The perpetrator was looking for targets for minors who were playing with their cellphones. The perpetrator took the victim's cellphone and fled. The victim had chased the perpetrator. The victim pulled the perpetrator's motorbike and dragged the perpetrator's motorbike," he said.

From the hands of the two perpetrators, the perpetrator's Honda Beat motorbike was confiscated, and the victim's cellphone.

"The perpetrator was arrested based on CCTV tracking at the crime scene. Busers who received information that the perpetrators of IH often busked in the Balekambang area," he said.

Meanwhile, from the statements of the two perpetrators, they admitted that this was the first time they had committed a crime. As a result of their actions, the two perpetrators were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with the threat of imprisonment for 7 years.
