The Kupang Basarnas Office SAR Team evacuated Hannes, a German who was found dead in the waters of Namosain Beach, Alak District, Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara.

The SAR team with five members of the Kupang Basarnas together with the police immediately moved to the scene in Namosain to evacuate Hannes, who is the owner of the Austrian-flagged "Cayanne" ship that is anchored at Namosain Beach.

"In response to the evacuation request, the SAR team together with Polairud Polda NTT, Polsek Alak and the local community carried out evacuation assistance at Namosain Beach, Alak District, Kupang City," he said.

Alak Police Chief Kompol Edy said the German victim was in accordance with the passport of U 0362946.

Based on information from Muhamad Musa, one of the agents who took care of the foreign ship, the victim disappeared since Friday (17/11), at around 10:00 WITA.

Despite knowing the identity of the victim, the police have not been able to determine the cause of death of a German citizen who has injuries to a number of parts of his body.

"We are still waiting for the autopsy results tomorrow to determine the cause of death of the victim," said Edy.
