West Java Declaration Anteng Is Reminded Not To Be Limited To Ceremonials

West Java community leader Prof Didi Turmudzi hopes that the declaration of the Peace Election movement titled West Java is Safe, Neutral and Calm (Jabar Anteng) which will be held this Saturday at the Merdeka building, Bandung City, not only ceremonial.

Because, said Didi, the contestation of democracy, including the upcoming 2024 Pileg, Presidential and Regional Head Elections, is not meant to be only in the political interests of a moment, but also to the fate and future of the nation.

"Hopefully this declaration is full of sincerity, honesty and courage. Of course, not just ceremonial, for a moment of political interest because this concerns the nation's problems in the future. What is important is that West Java must be protected by its character, namely friendly and tolerant," said Didi at the Merdeka Dam. Bandung reported by ANTARA, Saturday, November 18.

In essence, said the General Chairperson of the Pasundan Association, West Java community leaders hope that first, they will take care of overtime (must protect the village) in the sense that there should not be divisions, even though the conditions are hot in politics, don't move to West Java and influence the community.

Then, he continued, "accuracy of jeung takar" (regions with relatives) including relatives who are compatriots while maintaining a conducive situation, because this is a national issue that must be guarded together, including by rulers, law enforcement and other components.

"The three 'panceg are held at the outlets' or remain on track because the rules must be maintained at any time, starting from the government, TNI, police, political parties and the community have the same attitude, namely love for Indonesia. Don't back down in defending West Java, Indonesia is conducive, safe. There is no split whatsoever in society," he said.

Agreeing with that, another West Java community leader, Dindin S Maulani, said he was grateful for Anteng West Java's declaration.

This is proof that all of West Java aspires to the 2024 General Election take place, honestly, fairly, safely and neutrally.

"The state is not doing well. So we have to be extra careful. Extra response and extra security," he said.

The reading of the declaration was made by representatives of the West Java State Civil Apparatus (ASN), TNI, Polri, West Java Disability ASN, sub-district and village heads throughout West Java, as well as the signing of a declaration by all the top leaders of policy makers in West Java and community leaders.

The contents of the West Java Anteng declaration itself consist of three points, the first is the government and the people of West Java to support the implementation of the 2024 general, free, secret, honest, and fair elections (Luber Jurdil).

Second, the government and the people of West Java want the 2024 General Election to take place in a safe, calm, and not be affected by hoaxes.

Third, call on all ASN, TNI, Polri in West Java to be neutral and not take sides in the 2024 election.
