President Jokowi Attends A Number Of Meetings At APEC Summit

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo attended a number of meetings on the sidelines of holding the APEC Summit in San Francisco, United States, Thursday, October 16 local time or Friday Indonesian time. President Jokowi held a bilateral meeting with Peru President Dina Bouarte at the Moscone Center, San Francisco, United States. During the meeting, the Head of State conveyed Indonesia's commitment to support the chairmanship of Peru in APEC 2024. After holding a bilateral meeting with the President of Peru, Jokowi then attended a photo session with APEC economic leaders at the Press Conference Room, Moscone North, San Francisco, United States. After that, President Jokowi and other economic leaders attended APEC Economic Leaders ’ Informal Dialogue and Working Lunch with the theme “ Sustainability, Climate and Just Energy Transitions ” which was held at the Moscone Center, San Francisco, United States. In his speech, as reported by Antara, President Jokowi said that there are a number of important things that must be the focus of APEC cooperation on the issue of climate change. President Joko Widodo then held a meeting with a delegation from the US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate (US SPEC) John Kerry in the same place. In a meeting with John Kerry President Widodo reiterated Indonesia's presence at the APEC Summit to voice the issue of climate change.

Furthermore, the Head of State attended a meeting of the country's leaders at The Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF), where at the meeting, the President explicitly conveyed Indonesia's openness in establishing cooperation based on the principle of mutual benefit with each country.
