Acting Governor Of NTT Reminds Acting Regent Not To Intervene KPU

Acting Governor of East Nusa Tenggara Province Ayodhia GL Kalake reminded the acting Regents of Alor and Acting Regents of Central Sumba not to intervene in anything to the General Election Commission (KPU) in the presidential and legislative elections in the 2024 elections so that elections take place democratically.

"We remind the regents to be neutral in elections and regional elections which will take place in 2024. They are not allowed to intervene in any form to the KPU as election organizers," said Acting Governor of East Nusa Tenggara Province Ayodhia GL Kalake when inaugurating two regent officials, namely Lerry Lupidara as Acting Regent of Central Sumba and Zet Sony Libing as Acting Regent of Alor in Kupang as reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 13.

Ayodhia G. L. Kalake said the election stages had begun so that support from regional heads was needed to make the 2024 simultaneous elections successful both in the Presidential and Legislative elections and regional head elections by keeping the situation conducive so that it could take place safely and successfully.

He hopes that the regents can maintain a conducive situation during the election by providing full support to the General Elections Commission (KPU) and the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) without intervening.

According to him, building good coordination with stakeholders can support the success of the 2024 election.

In addition, it takes the commitment of regional heads to maintain the neutrality of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) to remain neutral in political events in 2024.

Ayodhia G. L. Kalake emphasized the need for certainty of budget availability that is donated to the KPU and Bawaslu and security in supporting the implementation of the 2024 general election and regional elections.

"The neutrality of ASN in the 2024 election must really be carried out so that simultaneous elections and regional elections in 2024 run conducively," said Ayodhia GL Kalake.
