MRT Employees Who Died Served As Section Head Railway Building Maintenance Department

JAKARTA - PT MRT Jakarta's Corporate Secretary, Ahmad Pratomo confirmed that the man who was found dead floating in the Cakung East Flood Canal (KBT), East Jakarta, was his employee. The victim is known as Disa Dwi Yarto.

"Regarding the news about the discovery of the body at KBT Cakung, we confirmed that the deceased was an employee of PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda)," he said in an official statement quoted by VOI, Sunday, November 12.

Victim Dwi Yarto has the last position as Section Head Railway Building Maintenance Department.

"We have coordinated intensively with the police to process legally, and we thank all those who have helped," he said.

Previously, three suspects in the murder case of Disa Dwi Yarto, who is an employee of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), had been arrested. The police said that the motive behind it was economic problems.

Head of Sub-Directorate for Resmob Polda Metro Jaya, AKBPali Yudho Ully said one of the three suspects with the initials R was in debt. Thus, planning acts of theft and murder.

"The motive of the perpetrators is the economy, in which Brother R has a debt of Rp. 3 billion," Yudho told reporters, Saturday, November 11.

Suspect R is the main suspect because he is the mastermind of the crime. In his plan, he and his partner IS pretended to want to buy the victim's car.
